In the rapidly expanding realm of cryptocurrency options, Shibarium, the layer 2 protocol of Shiba Inu, encountered a significant setback caused by a temporary network outage. This disruption impacted users’ ability to operate smoothly and diminished their overall experience.
Today, Kaal Dhairya, a prominent developer within the Shiba Inu community, took to the X platform (formerly known as Twitter) to provide an update on ongoing developments. This highlights the challenges of maintaining robust network infrastructure amidst growing demand and evolving technological landscapes.
It’s worth highlighting that since Shibarium’s launch, there have been multiple instances of network outages. After its establishment in August of last year, Shibarium encountered a notable technical issue leading to the failure of its mainnet Remote Procedure Call (RPC).
Due to lingering service disruptions, Dhairya has emphasized the importance of all external teams involved in the platform’s infrastructure, such as RPC, to establish better communication by coordinating through shared Slack and Telegram channels.
Improved Shibarium UI Enhances User Experience
The recent incident occurred following the introduction of the newest User Interface (UI) upgrade on the layer 2 protocol, aimed at enhancing Shibarium’s connectivity with other prominent platforms and enhancing the blockchain experience for users. “We’ve broadened wallet compatibility with MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow, Trust Wallet, and Wallet Connect, allowing Shibas to connect in their preferred manner,” stated the team.
The team emphasized that their foremost concerns in reconstructing the platform were user experience and speed. Consequently, they remain dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of blockchain technology.
With the introduction of this latest UI update, anticipate enhanced performance for the solution, rendering it faster, sleeker, and more user-friendly than ever before. This advancement underscores Shibarium’s ongoing commitment to broadening accessibility and usability within the decentralized finance landscape.
While the network has regained full functionality, certain services, like the platform’s block explorer Shibariumscan and external RPCs, might remain inaccessible until the recommended steps are implemented. This underscores the ongoing dedication of the team to address the technical challenges.
